Neil joined Bignon Lebray as a partner in our Corporate / M&A and Private Equity teams in 2016, after over 30 years of practice in leading international and niche law firms.​

He has advised on a number of sectors including cosmetics, luxury products and wines & spirits, both for private and listed companies, and has also developed significant expertise in property and banking law.​

He set up and developed our sports law department, and advises clubs, athletes and event organisers.​

Neil is also practises as a sports agent, assisting and representing clubs, players and agents, and drafting and negotiating sponsorship agreements, employment contracts and services agreements.​

Neil was referenced as a sports lawyer in Chambers Europe 2025, Legal 500 EMEA 2025 and IFLR 1000 2024.​

Neil is recognised as a Best Lawyer 2025 in corporate law and sports law

  • He is also qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales
  • He is a shareholder and director of Brive, a professional rugby club​
  • He has built and helps to run a 9-hole golf course and driving range on the race course of Maisons Laffitte​
  • As a dual French and British citizen, he has given conferences and training courses on British contract law, in particular for the law and business association Les Entretiens Communautaires de Droit et Commerce, on “Les atouts respectifs des systèmes de common law britannique et de droit écrit français.”. (The Respective Strengths of the British Common Law and Written French Law Systems)
